Over the last few months, many rumors and speculations have been doing rounds about the highly-anticipated Galaxy S8. Apart from its specifications, one particular detail in the mind of the consumers is the date of announcement of the flagship model.
Due to the events with the Galaxy S7 Samsung had to remove the presence of S8 from the upcoming MWC 2017 trade show. However, Samsung’s mobile division has revealed something that will get all of us excited. The official announcement date of the smartphone.
According to the revelation, the official announcement will take place very soon in the MWC trade show which is going to take happen on February 26th.
Samsung is going to be a part of the trade show but it is going to announce its Galaxy Tab S3 tablet, and then maybe also provide a sneak peek at its flagship model. Rumors had it that the Galaxy S8 will be announced on April 14, but now it seems as if Kim Dong-jin, Samsung’s head of mobile has made up his mind to give the announcement details at the trade show only.
Earlier rumors had said that the announcement would take place in New York. We already know that the home button will be removed from the flagship model and the screen to body ratio is going to be increased. Samsung is going to retain its QHD Super AMOLED display in both Galaxy S8 and S8 plus. But the improved UI will let the user tone down the resolution to save battery life.
