Apple is still far from the augmented reality technology, but it seems like it is right on track to reach there. There is much speculation going on regarding the most anticipated product in today’s news, the iPhone 8. Analysts are working out the features that will be included in the flagship smartphone that will set it apart from the competition.
Analysts claim that the AR feature in iPhone 8 will be a step up in the field of innovation and will be a leap for Apple.
Goldman Sachs’ analyst Simona Jankowski has said that the much-awaited iPhone 8 is going to come with 3D sensing, thus laying the founding stones of augmented reality. According to Benzinga, the analyst said the following on this revolutionary feature on the device:
“The inclusion of 3D sensing functionality is increasingly likely, which could enable a robust augmented reality (AR) feature set that we believe will be a key differentiator for the 10-year anniversary iPhone.”
She stated that this function would set this flagship model apart from its predecessors and the competition in the market. However, it would be unfair to from an option about a device based on just a single feature. Many other features will attract customers. Some of them being the removal of the headphone jack and wireless charging. Apple is known to introduce revolutionary features in its products, and it sure won’t refrain from doing so in its flagship model.
Rumors also state that new engineering process will be included in the iPhone 8 to prevent it from overheating because of the wireless charging feature. This might shoot up the price of the new iPhone to the point that customers might have to pay up to $1000 more.
It is also expected that the iPhone 8 will have a longer battery life than its predecessors, with a 2,700 mAh battery.
